The entire month of San Francisco has been this. Posted by Picasa
Of course, on my favorite night of noise pop, the last night at Great American Music Hall, my camera ran out of battery juice. The first part of the night (that you don't see here) was stripped down to folk tales and soulful melodies by singer-sonwriters Peggy Honeywell and Englishman Neil Halstead.
If you're about love and loss, and a little more love but much more loss, you'd like these folks.

I guess my camera had enough battery to take the headliners, Vetiver. Posted by Picasa
Danava, these guys must have really been into metal back in the day and after years of playing, reached an apex of what great rock sounds like. They were pretty awesome.

Parchment Farm. If you like Blue Cheer, you'd love these guys. Another great band serving up psych blues with raw funk drumming. This is the stuff the masses need more of. Posted by Picasa
